After finishing my workshops and
collecting my certificates (something tangible from the trip di ba!), I asked a Pinoy that I met
at the hostel if we can go to the Night Safari. Promise, after the nth times I’ve
visited SG I never once went to any of the theme parks here!
It was a bit far from where we
were staying. We took the MRT from Bugis Station to Ang Mo Kio Station (20-30minutes),
from there we took Bus #138 (35-40minutes).
Although the first show
officially starts at 7:30pm, the shops and restaurants are already open from 6pm
onwards so you can have dinner if you want to. We arrived around 8:30pm already
so we just went directly for the tram ride.
There is a 40-minute tram ride
with a lively commentator giving you the story about each animal that you will
pass by. It was a very informative ride. The good thing is, it’s also a hop
on-and-off ride so you can hop off at any station and then go around the trails
and hop back on to continue to the other trails.
There are 4 walking trails;
Fishing Cat trail – Leopard Trail – East Lodge Trail – Wallaby Trail. Here are
some photos taken during the tram ride and our walk around.
