Beach Disco Party @ Sheraton Maldives

Thursday nights you can usually find me wiping off mugs of beer or drinking cocktails at the Champs Bar in Hulhule Island Hotel but Male expats now have a new party destination --- Sheraton Full Moon Maldives!

After primping yourself up, you can just head on to Jetty 7 (fronting Shellbeans Café) and wait for the Sheraton boat at 8:30pm to ferry you towards the resort. You only have to pay U$10 per person for the boat transfer. And then it’s off to the beach disco party!

I don’t know whether to love the seating arrangement or curse it! Lol They have dug the sand out and put some cushions over it and guests can sit on the sand and use the sand table.

The music can still be improved on. It’s a mix of old songs (as in really ABBA era! I mean, I love ABBA songs but there’s a limit especially if it’s followed with Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff!”) and some new ones. I want to hear more Rihanna songs, please! lol

Last Thursday was a blast! The best night in Sheraton I’ve had so far. We went with our Thai friends who are hard-core party people! I cannot remember how many beer bottles I’ve guzzled that night! We danced and danced the whole night despite the music, I think it’s the company of partygoers that matters. A lively throng of dancers were there who really wanted to drink and dance that night.

I ended up losing my shoes that night and came back home barefoot! Hahaha

I think someone made some pranks on our shoes because I’m not the only one who lost a shoe or both!

And the mad scramble to find our shoes.....digging by hand in the sand! hahahaha

Anyways, shoe-less or not I definitely recommend that you go there and party with us next Thursday!
