Malaysia : Highlights of our Family Trip @ Genting Highlands

I last came to Genting Highlands about 3 years ago with my then-13 year old niece, Eiesha. Three years later, she is taller than me and keeps on "borrowing" my clothes when we travel.....the joys of having teenage nieces! hahahaha

You can either go by taxi (more costly) or you can take the bus + cable car option (more economical and an adventure!). We took a bus from the KL Sentral bus station (about 45minutes ride to the Skyway station), then disembarked at the Gohtong Jaya bus station and took the lift up to the Skyway cable station.

Such great fun! We went into 1 of the cars (maximum is 8pax per car) and had a real hoot --- with my brother making fun of my sister's misery, she has a fear of heights.

Nothing much to see at Genting, since we are staying at the First World Hotel (the biggest hotel in the world with 7,351 rooms as per Guiness) it was migraine-inducing so we opted to just stay within the hotel vicinity.

The hotel complex has its own shopping plaza, casino, dining outlets, and indoor theme park. There's really no need to even venture out!

Unless you have young kids, there is really nothing much to see at Genting and one day is more than enough.
