The City Tour

I was lucky my sister just live near the Botanical Gardens and on the other side of Orchard Road, it was easy for me to just walk for a couple of blocks and I'm already in the middle of Orchard!

The Secrets of Orchard Road

Known as the business district of Singapore, Orchard Road is full of shopping malls, classy boutiques, hotels and office blocks. During daytime, the street is alive with people in business suits, walking to and fro the office buildings dotting the area, and the coffee shops are full of yuppie-looking people with their espressos and cappuccinos talking nonstop to colleagues and friends.

Hahay....if only I have the dough to buy all the on-sale items at the designer shops! Kaya pa-picture na lang ako sa model.....hehehe
Dusk brings with it a different charm to Orchard Road. There are some juicy extra-curricular transactions going on in the street. The other side of Orchard is definitely more magnified at night. Hmm....i'll let this picture speak for itself.

Can I Kiss the Merlion?

The ultimate symbol of Singapore --- the Merlion. No visit to the city should be without a glimpse of the national landmark. A merlion is an imaginary creature with a head of a lion and the body of a fish. Singapore has once been a simple fishing village called Temasek hence the "fish body", while the lion head symbolizes the old name of the city — Singapura — meaning "lion city".

After several takes, I was able to get a good background photo. Nagtaka na siguro ang mga tourists kung ano ang ginagawa ko!

Till my next visit again....
