Maldives Cabinet to have an Underwater Meeting
We’ve been eagerly awaiting for this event ever since they announced it --- 
the entire Maldives Cabinet (except for a few with medical conditions) is going underwater for their Cabinet Meeting scheduled tomorrow. I watched their practice dive this morning which was being televised by the local channel, TV Maldives.
The aim of the underwater meeting is to highlight the challenges of Climate Change and how the rising sea levels affect low-lying countries like the Maldives.
The Ministers have been doing practice dives the past 2 months in preparation for this event.
It is really admirable to see their dedication towards getting the world to focus on the issue of Climate Change. It’s not only the Maldives who will suffer the dangerous manifestations of changing weather patterns but it is something that people in the Philippines are now experiencing.
I think it’s about time that the Philippine government also enacts laws and regulations within a framework of environmental sustainability. We are definitely feeling the pinch now of Nature's wrath with all the typhoons, floods, and landslides.
Honestly, I think we need to watch again the video of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”.

Pero di ko rin ma-imagine yung mga Cabinet secretaries in the Philippines to ever go underwater.....are they fit enough? Or....can they even fit in a dive suit?? Hahaha....di ba they have all these butete tummies.....kaloka! lol

Hahaha...tawa rin ako ng tawa nag imagine nan mga butete sa ato na moigo ba kaha sa dive suits? hahaha kalisod laman! kailangan nila mag enrol ng Fitness First bago ang diving lessons chi!
